Light has the power to move you. C by GE, GE’s line of bluetooth smart bulbs, gives you the power to customize your lighting at home to best fit the situation. The GE Lightrooms pop-up experience explores the power of light, music, and setting to reflect and even change your mood. 

USER Journey

The lightrooms are located in public spaces throughout a city with a target audience of young renters in mind. C by GE bulbs give renters an opportunity to incorporate smart technology into their apartment and make the space their own. 

Users reserve a lightroom with the GE Lightroom app, and the reserved room unlocks as the user approaches. Once inside, the user is prompted to select a mood using the app, and the room adjusts to reflect the mood through lighting and music. The walls are outfitted with touch-activated LED panels that display the mood color and pattern. 

Mobile app

The GE Lightrooms mobile app allows users to reserve their lightroom and control the settings once inside. Each mood is represented by a custom shape and movement. Users can also access and download mood playlists and learn more about C by GE bulbs.
